Tax Commissioner Brian Kroshus announced today that North Dakota’s taxable sales and purchases for the third quarter of 2022 are up 27.49% compared to the same timeframe in 2021. Taxable sales and purchases for July, August and September of 2022 were $6.7 billion.

Tax Commissioner Brian Kroshus reminds consumers that June 30, 2022 is the last day to apply for a refund of the state fuel taxes paid on gasoline/gasohol in 2021. Farmers and ranchers may receive a refund of 23 cents per gallon, and industrial consumers may request a refund of 22.5 cents per gallon for gasoline/gasohol purchased.
